Public-transport tips

What is the best way to get around?

Valencia is incredibly well-connected, and getting around from Patraix is simple once you know the ropes. Our integrated SUMA network means your tickets generally work seamlessly across the metro, EMT city buses, Metrobus, and Renfe Cercanías trains.

🎟️ How to Buy Your Tickets

Forget hunting for exact change. You can grab your tickets in a few easy ways:

  • Mobile Apps (Highly Recommended): Download the SUMA or EMT València apps to buy and store tickets right on your phone.

  • Contactless: Simply tap your physical card or phone at the metro gates or on buses.

  • Ticket Machines: Available at the airport and all metro stations.

💶 What It Costs

  • Single rides: A standard Zone A ticket is €1.50, while a single ticket covering the airport (Zone AB+) is €4.80.

  • Short stays: If you are packing in a lot of sightseeing, grab a 24-hour pass. The SUMA T1 (Zone A/B) is €4.50, or €9.00 for the SUMA T1+ if you need airport access.

  • Longer visits: The València Tourist Card offers 24h to 72h options ranging from €17.00 to €30.00, or you can pick up standard unlimited SUMA passes in 24h, 48h, and 72h durations.

💡 Bob's Top Tip: If you want flexibility without committing to an unlimited pass, pick up a SUMA 10 card. It costs between €5.40 and €9.00 for 10 trips across the network. The best part? You can tap it multiple times to share the rides among your travel group!

🚄 Arriving from the Train or Ferry?

If you are coming from Estació del Nord, the quickest route is a 2-minute walk to the connected Bailén Metro Station. Take Line 7 (Orange) toward Torrent Avinguda and you will be in Patraix in just 2 stops (about 12 minutes total, ~€1.50). Alternatively, you can hop on EMT Bus Line 11 right outside the station's main exit. Arriving via the high-speed AVE at Joaquín Sorolla? You are even closer—just a 5-minute taxi ride away!

Single bus ticket is €2.00

Sailing in via the Port of Valencia? Catch Metro Line 7 directly from Marítim station straight to Patraix in under 30 minutes. If you prefer a taxi, grab one from the official rank right outside the ferry arrivals for about €14–€20. Just always confirm the fixed fare or ensure the meter is running before you set off!

See you soon! 🌍
